Mitts, Mittens & more! We were tired of “poochy” looking mittens that didn’t fit very well, so we came up with our own design that has a hidden rib stitch for a sleek fit. Choose from fingerless mitts, convertible mittens, or regular mittens. So if you can’t make the class but want the pattern, it will be available soon. Thursday, October 18 or Saturday, October 20 from 10 to 4. $25 + supplies, catered lunch included.
Ballet Slippers These suede slippers are just too cute. You’ll want to make a pair in every color! Saturday, November 24 from 10 to 4. $25 + supplies, catered lunch included.
Felted Coasters I am the coaster police in my house. We recently replaced our his indestructible old & ugly furnishings with stylish new ones, so I now spend most of my time putting coasters under everyone’s drinks. I saw a TV show recently where the husband went nuts and killed his wife because she was constantly nagging him about using a coaster. That would be me. So in my fervent use of coasters, I have discovered that finding the “right” coaster is not an easy task. Well, call off the coaster search patrol, these felted coasters are it! They are so quick and easy to make - and are truly the perfect coaster. Great for gifts, and for nagging wives. This is also our own design, and the pattern will be coming soon. Thursday, December 13 or Saturday, December 15 from 10 to 1. $15 + supplies.
Alpaca Circle Shawl Once the holidays are over, you will be ready to start something special for yourself. This gorgeous shawl is much easier to make than it appears. Lacy,web-like circles are joined together for an absolutely gorgeous effect Saturday, December 29 from 10 to 4. $25 + supplies, catered lunch included.
Our recurring classes continue through the fall schedule. Socks & Gloves and Let’s Dish continue on Thursdays (as indicated on the calendar), with a morning and evening session. We have added a few more knitting designs for the Let’s Dish class, including some really intriguing center-out designs. Mom just this week re-invented the center out cast on, and it is much easier and just as effective as the “Emily Ocker” cast on. It’s worth coming to class just to learn this, especially if you do much lace knitting. Don’t forget that we also have some really pretty crochet cloths for the Let’s Dish class too.

The Beginner Bunch and Victorian Lace continue on Saturdays. Sweater Girls is back on Thursdays with a morning and evening session, and will continue on Saturdays with two great looking jackets. The knitted jacket is a modernized take on EZ’s surprise jacket. Choose from an adult or baby jacket. The crochet jacket is absolutely stunning - it will make even the most ardent non-crocheter reconsider. The Sweater Girls class projects are now limited to the two new jackets, or finishing the summer tees from the summer class schedule. Any other previous projects will require a help appointment, or bring them to the Class Project Cleanup in September.
This fall we are excited to offer a new Class Pass. Enjoy reduced rates on classes when signing up for multiple classes. More information is available online. Hurry! To make the most of your pass you will want to get one before the class schedule begins.
Our new Online Classroom will be opening soon. Mom will be taking over the keyboard . . .and the camera . . . and the video to bring her many years of expertise and wisdom to your computer screen. She had to stop and prepare for her Color Workshop that is scheduled for this Thursday and Saturday. We still have a few spots left - don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from the master of intarsia herself. I have met just about everyone who is anyone in this business, and trust me when I say that no one knows more about intarsia knitting than Sherry (aka Mom). And she’s no slouch when it comes to Fair Isle, and other types of colorwork either.
Stay tuned! Exciting things are in the works.
