Amy

Amy learned to knit three years ago after she had the first of her two boys. She loves to play with natural dyes and fibers and has as many knitting books as she has yarn in her stash. Amy will knit anything...once and is always up for a fiber challenge. She loves to travel and tends hit every yarn shop along the way. Anna

Anna is accomplished at pretty much anything involving string. She sews, spins, knits, tats, crochets, weaves, quilts, fingerweaves, and if that's not enough she also plays the mountain dulcimer and bowed psaltry. Anna is frequently spotted at living history reenactments demonstrating and sharing her many talents with others. Our head cheerleader for beginning knitters, teaching people to knit is one of her knitting passions. Anna loves to read, sew, shop, and especially loves lipstick! She also loves SWAK's taffy, her dog Babe AND a big glass of wine. When she gets really old and retires, you will find Anna sitting in the window of our Guthrie store in her rocking chair knitting. Catherine

Both a knitter and a crocheter, Catherine is a retired teacher so teaching comes second nature to her. Color and texture define her style; a style with a traditional base reaching out to the unexpected. She can be found with her cat Iona in a little house in the heart of Norman. Kari

Kari is back! Our displaced Texan came back after a stint in New Mexico with her new baby girl Kaylynn and husband Jeremy. When she's not busy knitting and working, she likes hanging out with her family and is attempting to learn to sew. Kari works Wednesdays & most Fridays in our OKC store. Kary

Kary started out as a SWAK customer and became an employee five years ago. Kary helps us out at both stores from time to time. In her spare time, she enjoys being mom to Logan and Emma, working backstage at the Pollard Theatre, making jewelry, and inventing new and unusual combinations of curse words to mutter under her breath while knitting. Keely

The gal in charge of it all! She works 7 days a week and nearly 24 hours a day with her little boy Mason at her side. When she's not busy working, you can find her in the kitchen. Laura

Laura is one of the most artistic people we know. She's an accomplished knitter, quilter, painter, hooker . . . RUG hooker that is! She loves working with color and textue to create something pleasing or unusual or off beat. She loves to work with wool, but really hates winter (anything below 70°). Dark chocolate, a glass of wine, and knitting are daily necessities. She's been a SWAK customer since the beginning, and has assisted with the instruction of many of our classes for many years. Mary

Mary "plays" most Tuesdays & Wednesdays in our OKC store. She has a tendency to accumulate shoes, cookbooks, & Frankhoma pottery. Mary's also a shower singer, closet artist and wanna-be gym rat. Mason

Okay, so this little guy is really the one in charge. Our littlest team member Mason likes to greet everyone, assist customers with their purchases, clean & rearrange the store. He is especially good with color, and would love to tell you the colors of all the yarns in the store. When he's not helping out front, he can be found hanging out in his playroom watching Sesame Street & Barney, reading his favorite books, and playing with his toys.

Sherry

Our resident expert on all things knit, Sherry is our head instructor. When not helping out at SWAK or being Mason's "meme", she likes to read (prefers nonfiction), play computer games, create family movies, clean house and sleep. She doesn't like sports, cooking, any out-of-doors activities or traveling. I suspect she may be a hermit. You'll usually find her wherever you find Keely/Mason, except for Tuesdays which is the day she pretends to take care of all of life's little non knitting business. Ravelry  name. . . labenda
