20 years ago I did large hearts on the fronts of some of the granddaughters knit jumpers. I did have a few frustrating holes where the colors met. My solution was to embroider a simple chain stitch outline. Wish I'd known your mom's techniques back then. Looking forward to learning this before the great grands come along!
Thx.

I took an intarsia class at SWAK, and that class and book saved my bacon when I was knitting the Penga cardigan as a store sample. The cardigan uses stranded knitting, intarsia, and duplicate stitch. I can attest to the tidiness of stacking ends, as Keely showed in the video, because there were over 800 ends to wrangle in that cardigan! I wouldn't say I'm an expert -- I'd still have to refer to the book, I'm sure -- but I'm definitely fearless now when it comes to intarsia!
